Karl Wildhagen large copper casket, Munich circa 1905. A very rare, heavy & large casket from one of the masters of the Munich Secession, a very similar design can be seen in the period journal image below. Casket has many classic features of Wildhagen work including a heavy domed lid, oval hammered design to front panels, cut out diamond patterns & large feet. Signed with a “71” model number and an etched name of a previous owner. A masterwork of Munich metalwork. Excellent original condition. Measures 9” wide, 7” tall and 7” deep. SOLD
