ROYCROFT

Elbert Hubbard founded the Roycroft community based around the simple idea of Art for Everyman. He attempted to bring this vision to fruition through finely printed books, handmade furniture, leatherwork, metal and lighting. The Roycroft Copper Shop started production as early as 1902 and by 1910 was making a full line of functional items for the home & office. The central figures of the shop included Karl Kipp, Walter Jennings and Victor Toothaker. The internet has made acquiring of Roycroft to start a collection quite easy, yet the shop produced many wonderful designs that are quite rare today.
