Arthur Payne table lamp, Peoria IL circa 1912. This fine hammered copper table lamp is attributed to Payne and his teachings at Bradley Polytechnic Institute and featured in his book “Art Metalwork with Inexpensive Equipment” published in 1914 where a similar lamp is pictured. The four sided shade has overlay cut out work to each panel, a heavily riveted border and a removable cap to conceal the finial. The shade has a wooden mount to rest on the riser, the long screw holds them together. Strong proportions and design to this large lamp with it’s original patina. For comparison, a lamp pictured in his book sold at auction in 2019. Measures 22” tall and 16” wide, base is 9.25” square. $2,200
