Limbert hammered copper vase, Grand Rapids Michigan circa 1908. This exceedingly large vase is one of two known vases in this form made by the Grand Rapids Russian coppersmiths for Limbert. The vase is not drilled and was not made for use as a lamp base yet it has many of the same design features as known Limbert lamps as seen in the flush side panels and the two handles. Incredible hammering throughout this vase, retains the original patina. Wonderful details in the large rolled rim, the long strap hinges supporting the unique 90 degree stop handles. Some oxidation and minor wear, please see images for details on condition. Measures 13” tall by 6” wide at the shoulders. SOLD
