Arts & Crafts iron lantern circa 1905. A magnificent period hand wrought iron lantern with large original chain and ring handle. The canopy set with three spiral iron designs on each side, secured with iron brackets & rivets. The iron panels are recessed at their edges, giving depth to the inset original Kokomo granite glass, each panel a single piece. The belly has a working latch holding a large iron & glass panel which opens to reveal the interior. This hand crafted lantern was modeled after a rare Tiffany Studios form in bronze & set with turtle back panels (see images below for examples). An incredible amount of craftsmanship went into this lantern, perhaps a special commission from a top iron studio. Rewired and ready to install, excellent condition. Measures 16” tall with the chain, body is 6” square. SOLD
