Benedict Art Studio handkerchief box, East Syracuse NY circa 1907. A stunning & detailed hammered copper box with brass trim and decorative floral designs on top and all four sides. The applied riveted designs also have additional detailed hammering done with a leather working tool. Lid has a small handle clasp and an arm used to hold the box lid open when it hits the back. Unsigned but pictured in the new Benedict catalog reprint where it cost $24 (which is around $750 today). One of the finest boxes of the Arts & Crafts movement. Measure 6.75” square and 3.75” tall.
