Mary Peyton Winlock marmalade dish, Cambridge MA circa 1906. A Master Craftsman in the Boston Society of Arts & Crafts, Winlock exhibited widely in the major shows including the 1904 St. Louis Worlds Fair, the Art Institute of Chicago, Detroit Museum of Art and the New York Arts & Crafts Society. This orange marmalade cover is crafted from sterling silver set with an hand etched design filled with enamel (Champlevé) in shades of orange, green, blue, white and black. The center has a raised silver handle with a reticulated enamel design. Most of her existing work is held in museums. Excellent condition, no issues with the enameling, some minor silver scuffing. Exceedingly rare Boston silver and enamel work. Measures 5” wide and overall height with glass (replaced) is 2.5” tall. SOLD
