French Art Nouveau page turner, France circa 1905. This long page turner is in the style of Alfred Daguet and could be from his workshop. A long wood body, the handle with a hammered pewter owl in flight, the wings drop down the shaft. Glass beads are set in as the eyes and in wings. A page turner was used to flip pages in very large books where it would be difficult to turn by hand without tearing the paper. Excellent condition. Measures 14.5” long and 2” wide. $400
