George C. Lynch Company “Fire Bronze” vase, New York circa 1910. A large hammered copper vase with a striking brown patina. This is a new discovery from a period advertisement as seen below, George Lynch was based in NYC and appears to have crafted and retailed hammered copper articles and lamps, many appear to be made by Russian metal smiths based on the design motifs. The mark is a combination of his company name, an L intertwined with a concentric G, middle initial C and Co on the inside. FIRE BRONZE across the center was the brand name for this line of metalwork. We have seen several pieces of this work prior to this discovery. Measures 10” wide and tall. SOLD
