Douglas Donaldson perfume jar, Los Angeles CA circa 1922. Although unsigned, this jar was purchased by Hammered & Hewn as part of the estate of Margaret Wade Tuttle Heller in 2015. Heller was Donaldsons cousin and taught with him at his Summer School of Applied Arts in 1915. Read more about Donaldson HERE. The glass bottle has a threaded silver cap, the silver lid crafted by Donaldson screws on for a tight fit. The lid is lined in large hammered silver flat balls, a trademark of his silver work. The silver holds a large malachite stone, note it has very old tight fractures. Signed STERLING. Measures 3.75” tall. SOLD
