Elizabeth Eaton Burton leather book cover, Santa Barbara circa 1904. Burton had a patent on her “burnt leather” technique as seen in these California oaks, a motif she also crafted in a copper on leather folio (see photo). The design is overlayed on a piece of decorated Chinese silk depicting mountains and clouds in the distance. Overall very good condition, unsigned but fully attributed to Burton. Measures 6” by 5” wide. $450
